Diabetic Neuropathy
Neuropathy is the damage of nerves. In diabetics, neuropathy is caused by high levels of blood sugar with increased risk the longer that you have been a diabetic. Nerve damage can lead to loss of the sensations of pain , touch, and temperature, as well as affect muscle movements and strength. The feet and the lower legs are most effected by diabetic neuropathy. The lack of sensation in the lower extremity of those with diabetic neuropathy can often lead to other foot problems.
